About Me

GMapes: I'm just a simple person who believes that hard work can get you just about anything. I love my family and biking. I'm a Cat. 1 XC Mountain Bike racer for the team Go! Racing Powered by Spin Neopolitan Pizza. I recently graduated at Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Emphasis on Human Resource Development. Last summer I entered a new chapter of my life... I was accepted to PSU to work on a Master's degree in Psychology followed by an ED.S. I plan to re-enter the work force as a School Psychologist. After the foundry that I had worked for closed it's doors I gained a certain respect for the little things in life. This blog is simply about one of the little things in my life that has made a big impact on my well being... Cycling

Rapture in Misery 2009

I'm miserably running my bike to the finish line, because I broke my chain on the last lap. We had a 10 minute lead going into the final lap, but with a 3 mile run in the mud and rain we ended up 3rd. We followed up in 2010 with a win to redeem ourselfs!
